I run several businesses from my home. I sell magazine back issues and have made some great money at it. There are opportunities all over the place. Look on ebay to see what is selling. Look for a niche – lets say old 45′s or cigarette lighters, or post cards etc.
I use yahoo stores as my sales platform – it is easy to set up and isn’t to expensive.
