I am a stay-at-home mom and would love to find a job I can do from home that is NOT a scam. Any suggestions?

stay at home
STT 360 asked:

I am not interested in providing childcare, doing telemarketing, selling anything, or obviously doing anything that is against the law! I have my BS and am a smart woman, I just have chosen to stay home with my daughter. A mystery shopping gig would be ideal, however I have never found the real deal when it comes to these companies. Any ideas?

All the mystery shopper deals want money before you start, no deal!
If you want some honest sites to make money try clixsense or cashcrate, I just received a check from each of them. The more referals you have, the more money you will make.
If you decide to join use tomjonz as your referer. HAVE FUN!

the internet is a beautiful thing. Think of E-bay and say you wanted to sale children’s books at 4dollars plus shipping and handling. Wait until someone buys it on a pay pal account, and then travel to a second hand book store and buy a child’s book at almost 50cents to 1 dollar, you just made a 300 percent profit without spending a dime of your own money. I am studying business management and this is a way most e-bay sellers get paid and live good. hope this helps but all business makes or fails

    go to:
Enter entire address to open your very own online mall. I did and so far so good. I did not have to pay a dime to get rolling, and anytime you or anyone else purchases anything from your mall, you get a % of the sale credited to your account. Im a real person too, and I also wanted to stay at home with my kids.
    Good luck to you!!

There are legitimate mystery shopping companies but they really don’t pay much! I did mystery shopping for awhile but since I lived in a small area at the time, I didn’t get a lot of assignments. If you choose to look for mystery shopping companies, do pay any fees! Legitimate ones, do ask for any type of fees! (Do a search for volition forums and you can find legit mstery shopping companies and ask questions there).

There are phone jobs that are not telemarketing: customer service/ answering service but I am not sure if you want to do these types having a small daughter at home (these companies have a strict no background noise tolerance).

There are writing jobs, online sites that will pay you to submit articles too. Other jobs include writing articles for blogs dealing on specific topics.

If you are a fast typist (65 wpm or higher) with good grammar skills, there are general transcription jobs that you can do from home. I know a few women who have gone this route when having small children at home because they work and still have their children around.

Depending on what your skills are you can do freelancing for various companies and get short term or long term assignments. Guru is a good website for this, I recommend only using their free basic membership and if you can get assignments, only then upgrade your membership.

When looking for legitimate work from home jobs:
Do not pay a fee (unless you looking for a business)

Research the company ( a few timps: check the Better Bussiness Bureau, check to see if you can find company listed on yellow pages online, type in company’s name and the word “scam” and check search results for anything bad.

Try not posting your resume on job sites for working at home, you will get hit with a lot spam and work at home scams!

Try to use other keywords besides “work from home” when searching for these type of jobs. Other words you can use: telecommuting, telecommuter, must have virtual office, must have home office, independent contractor, virtual work, virtual worker etc.

    Good luck to you!
