How can I make temporary extra income while very busy?
Wow I can’t wait for the spam on this one.
I know this is a stupid question. If I saw this question, I would assume that its answers were either spam, mockery, or “you cant” but I still have to ask it.
I am a grad student with the normal amount of college debt, which I am able to pay off, but do not wish to contribute to (so a loan is not an option). I work a well paying job, and my wife works a well paying job. However, the money we make is spent on high rent, living expenses, and the rest is saved to pay off loans asap. We have both decided this is the smartest way to live right now. We are both very busy people, and there is no way to pick up a second formal job. Some times I have a lull of time which I would like to use to make a bit of cash on the side to fund some of our expensive hobbies (traveling, music equipment, etc). However this time is rare and far in between.
We participate in many free and low cost hobbies, so it is not that I can’t find ways to fill my time–but its just a simple fact that without $500-1000 there is no way I can buy a Fender Jazz Bass, or two train tickets to California, for example.
I don’t feel like we are living beyond our means, but I do feel locked into my income level for the next two years while I complete grad school.
I am going to flag every response that has a “perfect work from home solution” as an abuse of the community guidelines, so don’t bother with those. I know very well my limited options of working from home, so unless you have something novel like “make pottery coffee cups and sell them at the farmers market to upper middle class bohemians.”
A deep thanks to anyone who puts a drip of thought into their post.
ALEXANDER
