besides envelope stuffing and jobs outside the home? She is a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher.
Thanks for answers. We are weeding through some of the sites now. For those with success with these where you did not pay anything up front, please send email.
My wife is a Mary Kay rep. Maybe she needs to step this up!

I want so desperately to stay home and raise my son, but he tells me its not 1950’s anymore. It breaks my heart, help!!
He says we wouldnt make it money wise, I think we would if he got a higher paying job. We’d be saving $500 a month on a babysitter. Also I told him how good it would be to have his mom around all the time, and he said it’s better that he’s with a sitter!!

What should a woman take into account financially when wanting to become a stay at home mother?

the Family Lighthouse asked:

If a woman wants to leave work and stay home there are a lot of financial things to take into account. The woman may make a salary, but pay for eating out more, professional clothing, child care…..what else financially would a woman have to take into account when deciding on whether or not to stay home. Have you transitioned to staying home? Where do you find you actually save money because you are home? What were some of the hidden financial costs of working?

New Mom asked:

I have a newborn baby boy at home. My husband and I are unsure of whether or not I should go back to work full time, part time, or stay at home. I am leaning towards staying home, as I do not want a nanny to raise my baby. If I do stay ay home though money will be very tight and I might also miss the adult interaction of work. Is it foolish for me to think that spending quality years with my son is more important than not having to worry about money??? I guess I am wondering 1)if anyone has experience jumping into the world of being a stay at home mom, or 2)if anyone has any experience working from home?
