I need to know everything about starting an online business in Latin America (including PPP, CAFTA, etc). What is the best way to ship the products? Any legal stuff to take care of?

    Where to start…

You will need a business license in Mexico, you will have to pay appropriate taxes for income and capital gains in Mexico, import and export taxes in Mexico, and possibly sales taxes.

You will may need to pay import and possibly sales taxes in the destination countries.

If you are in a third country, you will probably have to pay income taxes there.

Here in the good old USA…If you live there then your first 70,000 earned is tax free, but as an American you always pay taxes here in the USA.

Do business anywhere in the world as if your doing it in the USA, they have to go by your rules and regulations. If you’re running the site from here. You open a merchant acct for your visa and mastercard processing for the business, make sure you open them in a USA bank that accept business around the world.

Make sure the product or service you select to sell is paid prior to your delivery. Use Pay-Pal for sure, there are people all over the world using it. The rest is you to you learning.

Here is the best advise, become an affiliate to a product you like and know it will sell. When you find a website you like, go to the bottom and click on the Affiliate name and join, allot of them are free, others charge you very little money to give you all the tools and a duplication site with your name on it. This may be the best way to learn the business prior to investing in your own site. But do get your domain name now…go to
