How do I boost a product like an online business directory?

I am working for an internet company and am currently managing a product which is an online business directory. However it seems like it is already a dead product. How do i get it off the ground and actually get sales in through this product? We have two sales executives selling this product and although they get sales in, it is not increasing at all. We’re based in a small country and although we have approximately 20 000 businesses in this country, we’re still not getting sales as always. We currently are going through a political situation yet some industries are picking up again.

word of mouth is the best and cheapest.. The best I have seen is

If you go there and then look at the ‘Tell me how page’ they go into a lot of detail about how word of mouth marketing affects sales revenue and profitability.. Best thing is to set up your business on it, it’s free, add articles about the things you do, then invite customers to the community.. The system gives you a breakdown of your customer loyalty and gives customers a way to do word of mouth referrals for you online.. It’s cool, free, and it works.

So, set up a community, put up some articles about the benefits of the product you have, then invite some of your existing customers, and they’ll get to see what your product is all about, then they’ll start referring you as well as buying your product.

Also, it’s a great way for a google search to find you!

You have to do two things.
    1. Update your listing
    2. Reach the potential customers.
You need to develop a mailing list of potential buyer’s contact by researching through web and collect those data to contact them. Doing copy & paste manually may be very painful.. you may try web data extraction services like
