I’m in the uk and need to find an extra income. Does anyone have any ideas other than a part time job?

income ideas
ANDREW W asked:

Basically things are getting a little tight financially and i’d like, say, £200 a month extra. I don’t really want to get another job as the 40% tax would eat it all up. I was thinking perhaps a “work from home” kind of thing? And sensible ideas?

professions abroad are surely an exciting prospect, but you have to be really careful of the legal implications, if you don’t perform your research correctly, there can be undesirable effects! The website in the box below resolves these problems because it shows how to make a living using your pc with SMC, a company sponsored by Tom Boswell of Happy Days (Howard Cunningham).

If you can write well there are a number of genuine options for you. For freelance jobs elance and guru are good option, links for genuine data entry jobs and freelance opportunities can also be found. they are all free to sign-up and seems legitimate so far to me.

There are freelance options available, but you’ll have to bid for them like an auction and compete for wages with other bidders. Regular data entry options are good but not very easy to find. I got a small list of some good options, see links section. Workers without experience start at $6.00 an hour and can go up to $11.00 an hour in larger cities. Experienced data operators earn between $7.50 and $17.00 an hour, depending on the field.

Also there are sites that pay you to do specific tasks like posting something on a forum or writing comments on some blogs, finding a logo or pic for a particular brand and uploading on some site… or similar stuff, and there are amount specified for each tasks. tasks are easy, small and simple but the payout is not very huge per task, so you might have to perform multiple tasks to get some substantial income.

There are some legitimate methods of making money online and a lot of scams.. which one is genuine can be decided on the way it works..
here are some genuine options and the way they work…

    1. Paid blogging: you blog about companies, sites, services, products and u get paid for your contents and posts. There are many genuine companies that pay you to do so like smorty, pay per post and lot more. A huge list of such genuine paid blogging oppourtunities can be found in my profile. You don’t have to pay anything to register.. you get offers to write about things.. you write, they approve and you get paid..

    2. Freelance outsourced jobs: these are regular jobs which you can perform from home. A variety of options and opportunities for home jobs can be found here. This includes telecommuting, typing, and other jobs that are performed from home. Again no need for registeration fees or any upfront money. if it is then its a scam.
