I want to live on a farm.income ideas?
LuvA asked:
I am a teenager and my family has a bit of a farm – we have horses, chickens, dogs, cats, ducks. I love working outside, early in the morning or late at night. I enjoy growing my own food and working with animals, rescuing animals.

I could do horse boarding and riding lessons, but am having troubles thinking of other ways to earn an income. Any ideas? I’m open to any ideas that don’t involve slaughtering animals. I’ve thought of a petting zoo too, but not crazy about that one.

You could breed the dogs… or get two full bloods and breed them if you dont have full bloods. Puppies are big money, and people will like to buy them off of you and spend the extra $ knowing that they came from a respectable home. Although, if you decided to do this on a regular basis you would have to look up your states rules for becoming a breeder.

There is not too much income after all of the expenses,on a farm (my grandparents owned one in Indiana) almost 60 years ago ,but the experience is “Priceless” and I wouldn’t trade them for the whole Universe

Breed livestock. More money, and the more of those we have, the better.
Cows, goats, chickens. No matter what the economy goes through, we’ll still need food.
Also, a farm by definition includes crops. So get to plantin.

Chicken eggs sell really good around here. Because you can sell them and make a profit, but its still cheaper than the grocery store. Plus they are alot more fresh.
