I am starting up a newsletter business in home and I know I would like to target small business and churches. Is it better to send them a sell letter first or an advertisment flier or would it be more affective with in person stop?

   Depending on your approach, I would suggest doing both. If you are familiar with churches in your area, I would stop in with a professional brochure or brief synopsis on what it is you are trying to accomplish and arrange a follow up meeting with the decision maker in the church. The in-person stop allows you to create a relationship and relationships create opportunities.

   congrats buddy !!!!for ur initiative to start ur own news paper!..i guess it would be always better to go personally ! u can talk out the things better and any queries can be solved immediatly,,tht saves time , also it makes a good impression ,,to visit personally ..it may lead to other oppurtunities toooo!!!!! be prepared with ur terms and various offers ! and also i fu can make a dummy replica of ur paper , it will excite them !! all the best ..my frnd !! plz reply to me ..

   I would say do both as well. Its a good idea to make fliiers and pass them out, to a large amount of business in a short time, sort of a raise your hands if your intrested approach. Going to these business and churches in person gives it a more personal and proffesional approach, which could lead to alot of opportunity.

   Emails are very effective and cost nothing. People are so busy with their time that its hard, but if you can get a few appointments why not. Give a great offer,,like if they sign up they get 2 months free.
   Do not accept no,,if its a good idea, stick with it! Good luck
