It’s not a good idea to EVER send cash in the mail to pay for anything. A check is more secure because the person handling the payment cannot stuff it in their wallet and spend it after their shift like they could do with cash!

You could open a checking account at a local bank and get a debit card or a checkbook to use for paying bills. A debit card is typically accepted wherever credit cards are.

You can pay with cash only at the carrier’s stores. Some may allow you to pay cash at Radio Shack or Best buy as well, but you would need to confirm that with the particular store. Paying via mail needs to be by check or by money order or you can pay by check online with most providers.

Like the previous answer said, it is NEVER good to send cash through the mail. You will have no proof that you ever sent it. Also, most companies do not allow cash payments through the mail for that reason. Buy a money order or money gram. You can get them from convenience stores and even places like Wal Mart. It is less than a dollar for a money depending on where you purchase them. Another idea is to get a prepaid visa/mastercard which you can get from places like Wal Mart and can be used anywhere those logos are accepted.

If you hate Tracfone then why are you using them? Most (if not all) major providers offer prepaid plans if that is what you are looking for. You can also pay your bills at the providers retail store in your area and pay with cash. It would probably be cheaper than Tracfone also, from my experience.
